Biographies:  Mary Conroy

Mary Conroy is certified by An Coimisiun le Rinci´ Gaelacha (Irish Dancing Commission) of Ireland to teach step and ceili dancing. Mary has been actively teaching and training competitive Irish stepdancers since 1993 under the direction of master teacher Theresa Burke. She also teaches classes of her own for various dance organizations, festivals and workshops, including Regional Dance America’s Northeast Festival.

Mary has studied Irish stepdancing since age six, and has competed 5 times in the World Championships, held annually in Ireland.

Mary will be performing the Slip Jig, the Double Jig, the Hornpipe, the Irish Reel, and other Irish dances to pipe music from ancient to pre-modern times.
