Biographies:  Deborah Belitskus

 

deborah belitskusDeborah Belitskus is a champion Highland Dancer from New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Deborah has been dancing since she was nine years old, and competing since the age of ten. She has competed and performed all over the Eastern United States and Canada, and is the winner of several open championship trophies, including the Grandfather Mt. Games in 1996, the Kearny (NJ) 1995 Indoor Competition, and the Spring Highlands Festival (Edinboro, PA) in 1994, ‘95, & ‘97. In 1997 she was 2nd runner-up at the Eastern US Championships.

Deborah received the British Medallion, British Award, & Premier Award for her outstanding examination results certifying her as a Highland Dancing instructor.

Deborah will be performing the Sword Dance, the Sean Triubhas, the Highland Fling, and other Scottish dances to pipe music from ancient to pre-modern times.
